Deva Electronic Controls recently teamed up again with Nikon Metrology to integrate the Deva CMM Controller with Nikon Metrology CMM-Manager software.
CMM Manager is a task-oriented, highly intuitive CMM software package for both manual and CNC CMMs. CMM Manager offers flexible yet easy-to-use functionalities, including graphical probe configuration management, automatic tip calibration, cross section scanning and group feature measurement.
The Deva 004 CMM Controller incorporates high-speed, closed loop axis control within the PC allowing a highly cost effective solution for OEMs and retrofitters alike.
This fully featured CMM controller can be purchased as part of the highly popular CMM System Pack which also includes 030 Servo Amplifier and the 031 Colour Touch screen Joystick offering enhanced operation and precise control of coordinate measuring machines

Integration of Nikon Metrology’s Focus Scan with Deva CMM controller delivers winning combination
Deva Electronic Controls recently teamed up with Nikon Metrology to integrate the Deva CMM Controller with Nikon Metrology digital laser scanning probes and Focus Scan software.
Laser scanning is a developing technology well suited to today’s quality control and reverse engineering challenges providing CMM users with greater versatility, shortened development cycles and increased productivity. Nikon Metrology’s latest scanning probes take the technology a step further by tripling traditional scan rates and eliminating user interaction when scanning components with varying colour or high reflectivity.
The highly popular CMM System Pack from Deva includes the fully featured 004 CMM Controller, 030 Servo Amplifier and the 031 Colour Touch screen Joystick. This complete CMM hardware solution already offers support to a number of third party CMM software packages.
Users familiar with Nikon Metrology’s Focus Scan software will already appreciate the many features offered by this powerful application including the 2D preview window, which facilitates laser set up and operation. Using the Deva 031 joystick PC View feature, this information and other PC information can be viewed remotely on the joystick screen enhancing ease of use and leading to more effective operation.

Deva 028 USB 3m Pixel Colour Camera Module
Making use of high speed USB 2.0 to transfer image data to a PC host system, the Deva 028 is based on 3M pixel CMOS sensor with bayer mosaic for colour reproduction. Features include cropping, panning, skipping and binning modes, which allow control of image resolution to further increase image capture times and frame rates. Gain priority, shutter priority and combined gain/shutter exposure modes automatically adjust for changing light conditions and multiple, independently configurable image capture streams operate simultaneously across one or more cameras.
Deva 022 USB Lighting Controller
Individual control of LED intensity via the PC instantly directs light onto the subject from any angle ensuring that key features and edges are enhanced allowing for faster and more accurate measurements. Powered by a single USB connection, this plug ‘n’ play device makes installations straight forward and is supplied with drivers compatible with Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista 32 and ME.
Contains a wealth of synchronization and triggering facilities, which
enables system integrators to create powerful and highly flexible automatic
measurement systems. Key features include a built in autofocus algorithm
to allow focusing to be achieved by moving a fixed focus camera by axis.
It is also possible to use this algorithm to take a measurement in this
axis. Coordination of image capture with position control allowing capture
frames to be position stamped or triggered at predetermined axis positions.
The Deva 004 CMM Controller is fully supported by a variety of 3rd party
software packages.
